Advanced blockchain technology, digital genomics, and location-based technologies are giving fresh life to NFTs.
Pokemon became famous because of the ability of players to interact, Tamagotchi due to the capacity to care for digital pets, and CryptoKitties due to their potential to earn on the blockchain. While Pokemon and Tamagotchi dominated the lives of children in the 1990s, many of them swiftly abandoned their virtual companions when they grew older and began working. Later, CryptoKitties intended to address the revenue question by creating digital kittens with unique genetic code using the ERC-721 (NFT) Protocol.
NFTs, or non fungible tokens, ushered in a new era by allowing gamers and collectors to earn real money through their online community engagement. Because of the blockchain’s transparency, each item was fully unique and ensured ownership. While CryptoKitties raised the bar for collecting, the game was static, leaving users with little more than a very nice.png or.gif.
Krytomon was founded with the goal of bringing NFTs to life by combining the best of Pokemon, Tamagotchi, and CryptoKitties in the next stage in the evolution of crypto gaming through the use of powerful blockchain technology, digital genetics, and location-based technologies.
A Kryptomon is a one-of-a-kind digital creature with a unique genetic code that is linked to an NFT. Kryptomons take the notion of NFTs a step further by recognising that the animals are living and need to be cared for in addition to being fed, healed, and taught to get stronger.
Kryptomon has recently teamed up with Binance NFT, the official NFT marketplace for the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange, to provide 2,000 Kryptomon eggs exclusively to Binance members. The Kryptomon team sees this partnership as its first foray onto the global stage, bringing the project to the attention of both NFT gamers and collector groups.
The eggs are hatching.
Trainers must first get an egg before they may join the realm of the Kryptomon. There are now only 6,200 eggs in circulation, with 75,000 players interested in partaking, depending on the number of KMON token holders. As things stand, demand for these assets vastly outnumbered supply. This is where the Binance exclusive sale comes into play.
Beginning at 12:00 p.m. UTC on November 8, users will have a 12-hour window to purchase customised Mystery Boxes from the Binance NFT Marketplace.
The Mystery Boxes will each contain one Kryptomon egg, which will retail for 95 BUSD, a relatively reasonable price when the company estimates the resale value on secondary markets to be $325 per egg (at the time of writing).
When participants open their Intrigue Box, they will have the opportunity to uncover a Kryptomon egg from an earlier generation, adding to the mystery of the sale. The company even claims that one of these mystery box holders will receive a Gen 0 Kryptomon egg, one of just 100 in the game.
Given the scarcity of each Gen 0 Kryptomon, a recent sale of such a rare commodity was made for 54 BNB, while a recent sale of a mega-rare Legendary Gen 0 egg was made on the secondhand market for 72.45 BNB (or roughly $47,500). A chance to invest early in a new NFT initiative by tapping into a user’s upbringing.
As an extra benefit, the owner of this uncommon item will be able to join the Kryptomon project’s founders in one of their Founders Talks sessions, an AMA session held by team members to engage with the larger community.
A breath of new life
This special deal is only one of the measures the game is taking to deliver a unique experience to NFTs. The Kryptomon team has recently announced the release of version 2.0 of their game, which will allow users to travel the metaverse and physical world with their Kryptomon as well as combat and breed it.
Furthermore, the release of their Android and iOS games will allow trainers to take on more creatures in their environment and participate in various adventures with their Kryptomon, making any Pokemon fan’s dream of becoming a true trainer a living reality – thanks to Kryptomon’s play-and-earn game mechanics.
